Bikur Cholim of Manhattan

Mission Statement:

Founded by Holocaust survivors more than 50 years ago, Bikur Cholim of Manhattan is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which funds urgent and expensive medical appointments and treatments, health insurance premiums, therapy services, psychological evaluation and counseling sessions, medical equipment and homecare for needy individuals in our community and beyond. Bikur Cholim of Manhattan also provides volunteer services and support to the elderly and those suffering from illness. BCM underwrites a significant portion of the expenses of the Mount Sinai Hospital Bikur Cholim room which provides copious food and other hospitality for family members of hospital patients. In 2018, through the support and sponsorship of generous benefactors and volunteers, BCM commenced underwriting all of the expenses of renting, furnishing and servicing two beautifully refurbished apartments in a full service building near Mount Sinai Hospital for use by family members of hospital patients.
